Isabelle Rey

Isabelle founded Lumière in 2009 after eight years at colour houses in Paris and Milan. She is the person other colourists call when a correction has gone wrong, and she still takes four consultation slots a week herself because, in her words, "you stop being any good the moment you stop listening to people."

She takes on a small number of correction cases each month and trains the whole colour floor every Tuesday morning before opening.

Noor Haddad

Senior Stylist · Curls & Texture

Noor cuts curls dry, always, and has spent nine years building a following among clients who had been told their hair was "difficult". It is not difficult. It was being cut wet by people who could not see what it does.

She runs our curl clinic on Thursday evenings — a ninety-minute session that is as much education as it is a haircut.

Master Cutter

Marcus assesses every head dry before a drop of water touches it, and he will tell you exactly why your last three cuts collapsed at week four. Twenty-two years behind the chair, most of them spent on precision bobs and heavy fringes.

He is the stylist most often requested by people who wear their hair short and have been burned before.

Priya Anand

Bridal Lead · Extensions

Priya runs wedding mornings like a film set: a written timeline, a rehearsed order and ten minutes of slack built in at every stage. In six years she has never once made a bride late.

Outside bridal she fits and maintains our hand-tied extensions, and she is unusually blunt about when someone does not need them.

How we price

Three levels, one honest system.

Price follows the stylist's level, never the length of your hair or the day of the week. Nobody here earns commission on retail or on upgrades.

Senior

Four to eight years qualified, fully independent. From £95 for a cut and finish. Most clients are perfectly served at this level.

Master

Ten years or more, and teaching within the salon. From £135. Choose this level for correction, short shapes and complex texture.

Creative Director

Isabelle only, four slots a week. From £185, and genuinely not necessary for most appointments — we will say so.
